Sunrise Trail Hike at Masungi Georeserve: An Empowering and Meaningful Birthday Celebration
Converge ICT Solutions Inc., the country’s leading fiber broadband and technology provider, is scaling up its safeguards to build a safer, more secure internet—especially for children.
In 2025 alone, Converge blocked nearly 12 billion attempts to access sites hosting dangerous, inappropriate, or harmful content across its network. The provider also added more than 72,000 domains and web addresses linked to prohibited material to its official blocklist.
“From the start, we have taken an uncompromising stance against illicit and harmful content that endangers the most vulnerable members of our society—particularly our children,” said Dennis Anthony Uy, CEO of Converge.
Uy emphasized that the company continues to invest in advanced defense systems to shield its network and customers from harmful material and evolving cyber threats.
Converge also maintains close coordination with key authorities including the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), and the Philippine National Police (PNP). Internationally, it partners with organizations such as the Internet Watch Foundation to stop the spread of illegal online activity, including content depicting extreme violence.
All site blocking follows established due process procedures and aligns strictly with Converge’s Human Rights Policy. Complementing this is the company’s formal Child Online Safeguarding Policy, which outlines its firm commitment to protecting children—who remain most at risk of online exploitation, abuse, and other cyber dangers—while fostering a safer digital environment for all.
“Moving forward, Converge will keep strengthening its partnerships with government agencies and industry peers to make the internet a safer place for every Filipino,” Uy added.
