Benefits of owning a home
My family rented an apartment for almost 20 years. It was home. The community was great, everyone got along, our neighbors were like part of the family, it was a happy place. The sad part was when the day came that the owner sold that apartment. We had no choice but to look for another place. It was hard. It happened all of a sudden. We found some to be too costly, while the ones that were affordable are far from schools, hospitals, market, heck they were far from anywhere. We eventually got a new place, but it was just a room for rent. It was a house with two rooms, when the guys who rented the other room left, my parents decided to get it also which means we get to have the house for ourselves. That meant a bigger bill. Until they decided to get their own house. A good person (agent) helped t hem out to decide, and thanks to that person, we had a decent home in a decent community, more importantly, a place we can call our own.
