SM Supermalls joins Earth Hour this March 25
SM Supermalls, together with its corporate social responsibility arm SM Cares, is joining the countdown to the Biggest Hour on Earth this March 25, 2023, when the rest of the world will converge around major world landmarks, cities, and communities to switch off their lights for 60 minutes starting at 8:30PM, as part of a global movement to save the planet. This year's Earth Hour is all about " creating the Biggest Hour for Earth ," and those who want to participate in the Earth Hour global activity are encouraged to spend 60 minutes doing something positive for the planet, on top of switching off non-essential lights for one hour in the evening as a symbol of their commitment to the planet. The annual Earth Hour global celebration started as a symbolic event in Sydney, Australia in 2007 and has grown into one of the world’s largest grassroots environmental movements spanning over 7,000 cities and 193 countries and territories.
