Sunrise Trail Hike at Masungi Georeserve: An Empowering and Meaningful Birthday Celebration

Image
Since I was a child, as soon as June approaches, I feel thrilled because it's my birth month. I don't eagerly anticipate gifts, but rather the greetings from family and friends. It brings me joy. I am easily pleased. It doesn't take much to make me happy. Whenever I am asked what I want for my birthday, my usual response is "nothing" or "I don't know; I can't think of anything I want or need." I am not materialistic. I am happy. I am healthy. I am blessed with family and true friends. Feeling ko nasa akin na ang lahat and I prefer inner peace. Fancy that! Haha. I find more joy in giving, whether to family, friends, or even strangers. But this time, I said, "Lord, can I give myself a gift this time?" Since a retreat in Batulao is not possible yet, I scheduled a day for myself for a pampering session at the mall. I want to have a massage, facial, manicure/pedicure. I simply wish to unwind and disconnect from the online world for an entire...

6 Common Lies about Lice

Image
Head lice infestation or pediculosis has been a big health problem since the dawn of time. Generations of parents and guardians have always warned against lice, often times panicking and immediately whipping out a suyod (lice comb) once they see something crawling beneath children’s hair. However, despite our long and itchy history with head lice, there are still many who believe in the common misconceptions about lice infestation. Kilusang Kontra Kuto , a coalition of head lice prevention experts and advocates led by Lamoiyan Corporation’s Licealiz, the Department of Education or DepED, University of the Philippines Manila College of Public Health, Mommy Bloggers Philippines, and Drugstores Association of the Philippines, was created with the goal of dispelling these misconceptions and changing the negative view on pediculosis. Here are a few of the common misconceptions we often hear about kuto: ⛔ Lice can jump or fly from head to head  One misconception is tha...

Stickerkid super cute personalized name labels +INTERNATIONAL GIVEAWAY

Image
Last month, I was contacted by Sticker Kid * to try out their personalized name labels for kids and kids-at-heart. I immediately replied because we love personalized labels, who doesn't anyway? #PrincessY and I customized one of their value packs with various types of stickers , letting her choose the colors, logos and text that she preferred. It's for her, anyway. She always lose her stuff, this'll help her keep track of her things. Our order arrived just a couple of days later! Such fast processing and shipping! But the courier left the envelope outside the gate, and it was raining hard! The package was soaking wet! What surprised me was that when I opened it up, the stickers were all fine!!! Not even a slight damage! The stickers are very special labels.  Not only are they very cute and colorful, with lots of styles to choose from, but they are also incredibly water resistant. They do not come off, are dishwasher safe, and do not get worn out like oth...
