Sunrise Trail Hike at Masungi Georeserve: An Empowering and Meaningful Birthday Celebration

Image
Since I was a child, as soon as June approaches, I feel thrilled because it's my birth month. I don't eagerly anticipate gifts, but rather the greetings from family and friends. It brings me joy. I am easily pleased. It doesn't take much to make me happy. Whenever I am asked what I want for my birthday, my usual response is "nothing" or "I don't know; I can't think of anything I want or need." I am not materialistic. I am happy. I am healthy. I am blessed with family and true friends. Feeling ko nasa akin na ang lahat and I prefer inner peace. Fancy that! Haha. I find more joy in giving, whether to family, friends, or even strangers. But this time, I said, "Lord, can I give myself a gift this time?" Since a retreat in Batulao is not possible yet, I scheduled a day for myself for a pampering session at the mall. Converge Boosts Internet Speeds to Support Filipino Households Amid Fuel Crisis

Enhanced connectivity ensures uninterrupted work, learning, and access to essential services from home

In response to the ongoing fuel crisis and its far-reaching effects on mobility and household budgets, leading fiber broadband and technology solutions provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has announced a nationwide speed upgrade for its FiberX internet plans.

“This initiative is designed to help customers remain productive, connected, and informed. As rising fuel costs make commuting more expensive and impact family finances, more Filipinos are choosing — or finding it necessary — to stay and work from home,” said Dennis Anthony Uy, CEO and Co-Founder of Converge.

“Following the call from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Department of Information and Communications Technology Secretary Henry Aguda to help ease the financial strain caused by rising oil prices, Converge is stepping up. We are delivering faster, more reliable internet access — with absolutely no extra charges for our subscribers,” Uy added.

Effective April 1, 2026, Converge will increase the broadband speed of its flagship FiberX plans by 50 Mbps. This speed enhancement will run for an initial period of one month, concluding on April 30, 2026, and is applicable to both existing and new subscribers.

“By raising our service speeds, we ensure that customers can continue working, studying, managing businesses, and keeping in touch with family and friends without interruption. The upgraded service supports smoother video conferences, faster downloads, and higher-quality streaming,” Uy explained.

“Furthermore, the improved internet connection enables customers to access telehealth services, online shopping platforms, digital banking, and government services more conveniently and efficiently,” he continued.

This initiative builds upon Converge’s long-standing commitment to narrowing the digital divide, ensuring that no Filipino is left behind in the digital era — particularly during times of economic and social difficulty.
