Pickleball is fast becoming a beloved part of Filipino lifestyle: a fun, social, and inclusive way to stay active, meet new people, and build stronger communities.
As the country’s largest pickleball hub, SM Pickleball continues to grow with the launch of six brand-new courts at SM City East Ortigas. This expansion brings SM’s total nationwide pickleball facilities to 108 courts across 33 SM malls, giving more players and neighbourhoods a dedicated space to enjoy, learn, and share their love for the game.
The new courts opened their doors on September 25, marked by an open play event attended by prominent pickleball fans and public figures. Joining SM executives for the celebration were:
- Ronald Allan Brosas, Senior Assistant Vice President for Operations, SM Supermalls
- Joseph Francis Silva, Senior Assistant Vice President, SM Sports & Leisure Centers
- Celebrity guests: Anna Clarice Patrimonio, Cherry Pie Picache, Nikki Valdez, Diana Zubiri, Eric “Eruption” Tai, Andy Smith, Mark Solis, Meg Imperial, Carlene Aguilar, Inez Veneracion, Vince Abrenica, and Sophie Albert.
Asia’s top-ranked women’s singles pickleball player Anna Clarice Patrimonio and popular TV personality Eric “Eruption” Tai joined SM leaders to mark the opening, enjoying the first games on the new courts alongside other attendees.
