Lenovo Earns Highest-Ever Placement: 7th in Gartner® Supply Chain Top 25 for 2026

Climbing the rankings from previous years, Lenovo secures its strongest position yet among the world’s leading supply chains

Lenovo has once again been named to the prestigious Gartner® Supply Chain Top 25 for 2026, achieving its highest global ranking to date at 7th place.

Now in its 22nd year, the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 is the industry’s definitive annual benchmark of supply chain excellence. The list recognizes and profiles outstanding global operations, serving as a key resource for teams worldwide to measure performance, drive transformation, and build future-ready capabilities. Lenovo’s upward trajectory reflects steady progress: it ranked 8th in 2025, 10th in 2024, and 8th in 2023.

AI Powers Resilience and Agility

Global supply chains have faced ongoing disruption over the past year, driven by trade tariffs, component shortages, and shifting geopolitical conditions. Lenovo’s distinct advantage lies in its AI-enabled infrastructure, which strengthens resilience, flexibility, and speed across its entire network.

Building on its existing "digital nervous system," Lenovo has developed iChain—an intelligent, self-learning orchestration platform that coordinates thousands of suppliers and more than 30 manufacturing sites worldwide. iChain delivers measurable improvements:

- Decisions made 60% faster

- Near real-time response to disruptions

- 90% of network simulations automated, cutting analysis time from 2–3 weeks to just 2–3 hours

Lenovo continues to prioritize sustainability, designing operations that are both environmentally responsible and built to perform for the long term.

“At Lenovo, our Global Supply Chain has always been a core pillar of operational excellence,” said Che Min Tu, Senior Vice President and Group Operations Officer at Lenovo. “The ability to act quickly amid uncertainty has become essential for every business. By embedding AI across our operations, we meet customer needs faster and navigate complex challenges effectively. We do not just withstand disruption—we emerge stronger. This approach has defined our progress, preserved our competitive edge, and helped us deliver the strongest performance in our company’s history.”

Strong Resilience Drives Measurable Growth

Operational strength translates directly to market leadership. Lenovo retains its number one position in global PC market share, with the lead over its closest competitor widening to its largest margin in 15 years.

The integration of its Infrastructure Solutions Group into the broader global network has also accelerated growth in enterprise systems, supporting record operating profits and margins.

As supply chains grow more complex, Lenovo is evolving beyond high-volume PC production—where a single device may include some 2,500 components—to meet surging demand for AI infrastructure, enterprise solutions, and next-generation workloads. This leadership is sustained through expanded AI server manufacturing, increased liquid-cooled server capacity, and a balanced global-local production model.

A Global, Adaptive Network

Lenovo’s supply chain now covers 30+ manufacturing sites across 10 markets spanning Asia Pacific, China, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, North America, and South America. Key recent milestones include:

- Breaking ground on an advanced facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which will produce PCs, smartphones, and servers for the region, plus house R&D, training, and customer centers while creating thousands of local jobs.

- Its Monterrey, Mexico site named to the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network—joining the Hefei, China facility as Lenovo’s second site recognized for leading-edge technology adoption.

- Expanding operations at its Whitsett, North Carolina campus in the U.S., an 800,000 square-foot hub employing 1,100 people to build servers and fulfill orders across the country.

How the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 is Determined

Rankings are calculated using an equal split of business metrics and community opinion:

- Business metrics: Combine financial performance (3-year weighted return on physical assets, trend in ROPA, revenue growth, and inventory turnover) plus ESG performance data sourced from leading independent providers.

- Community opinion: Reflects votes from industry peers and Gartner experts, who evaluate supply chains as strategic assets that drive value and thrive amid uncertainty.
