LG CLOiD Transforms Home Life by Streamlining Chores and Prioritizing What Matters
LG Electronics (LG) will unveil its new home robot, LG CLOiD, at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, taking place January 6-9. The launch highlights LG’s advancements in home robotics, with CLOiD engineered to handle diverse indoor household tasks, boosting convenience and elevating quality of life through more efficient, intuitive home management.
The robot serves as a home assistant that brings to life LG’s vision: "Zero Labor Home, Makes Quality Time." This concept envisions technology that significantly lightens the load of daily chores, enabling users to focus on meaningful people and moments. CLOiD represents a major step toward LG’s long-term objective of liberating customers from time-consuming housework.
Designed with a form factor suited for modern living spaces, CLOiD is capable of performing numerous home tasks. It features two articulated arms with seven degrees of freedom each, mimicking natural movement. Each hand includes five individually controlled fingers, delivering advanced dexterity to execute both delicate and precise tasks requiring fine motor skills.
At CLOiD’s core is a head-integrated chipset acting as its "brain," supported by a display, speaker, camera and multiple sensors. These components enable expressive communication, natural voice interaction and smart navigation. Powered by LG’s Affectionate Intelligence technology, the robot can perceive its environment, interact in user-friendly ways and adapt its responses over time through ongoing engagement, offering increasingly personalized support for daily activities.
LG identifies robotics as a critical driver of future growth and is ramping up innovation in this strategic field. The company has established the HS Robotics Lab within its Home Appliance Solution Company to develop unique technologies and enhance core capabilities and product competitiveness. Additionally, LG is pursuing collaborative research and strategic partnerships with top robotics firms in Korea and worldwide.
CES 2026 attendees can explore LG CLOiD and experience real-world "Zero Labor Home" demonstrations at LG’s booth (#15004) in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
