Jollibee Spreads Joy Throughout Cebu for Sinulog Season

Communities across Cebu were filled with cheer as Jollibee participated in the Sinulog season, bringing happiness to families, tourists, and devotees during one of the Philippines’ most significant cultural and religious celebrations.

“Sinulog is a deeply important celebration of faith, culture, and togetherness for Cebuanos,” said Dorothy Dee-Ching, vice president for marketing of Jollibee Philippines. “We’re thankful to be part of the Sinulog season, and we hope that through simple moments of joy, we can bring smiles to both Filipinos and visitors joining the festivities.”

The festivities kicked off on January 12 with Jollibee’s Sinulog Media Day, where media partners were introduced to the brand’s planned activities, building anticipation and community involvement ahead of the main celebrations.

To welcome visitors arriving in the province, Jollibee organized airport activations at Mactan-Cebu International Airport from January 15 to 17. Travelers were greeted by the Jollibee mascot, received festive giveaways, and were informed about exclusive Sinulog offers – creating a warm, celebratory welcome at the province’s main entry point.

Across Cebu, Jollibee stores were transformed into vibrant celebration hubs. Select branches featured decorative arches, buntings, and air dancers, while digital promotions and influencer content extended the festive atmosphere online, reaching audiences beyond Cebu.

Exclusive Sinulog Festival Treats added to the excitement, including free Go Large Coke upgrades with any Chickenjoy value meal and free 1.5L Coke with every Chickenjoy bucket purchase. These offers delighted customers while boosting store engagement during the peak period.

The celebration peaked over Sinulog weekend with flash mobs at major malls such as Ayala Center Cebu, SM Seaside, and Robinsons Galleria. The events featured Jollibee mascots, Sinulog-inspired dance performances, and interactive games. The General Maxilom branch – situated along a busy parade route – hosted activities with mascots and prize giveaways. At the Sinulog Devotee City near the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño, Jollibee shared joy with nearly 1,000 pilgrims.

The season concluded with Jollibee’s participation in the Sinulog Grand Parade, where its colorful float became a crowd favorite – embodying the brand’s commitment to celebrating Filipino culture and traditions.
