Since I was a child, as soon as June approaches, I feel thrilled because it's my birth month. I don't eagerly anticipate gifts, but rather the greetings from family and friends. It brings me joy. I am easily pleased. It doesn't take much to make me happy. Whenever I am asked what I want for my birthday, my usual response is "nothing" or "I don't know; I can't think of anything I want or need." I am not materialistic. I am happy. I am healthy. I am blessed with family and true friends. Feeling ko nasa akin na ang lahat and I prefer inner peace. Fancy that! Haha. I find more joy in giving, whether to family, friends, or even strangers. But this time, I said, "Lord, can I give myself a gift this time?" Since a retreat in Batulao is not possible yet, I scheduled a day for myself for a pampering session at the mall. The holiday season came alive at SM City Valenzuela as the mall unwrapped a new chapter of holiday cheer with its much-anticipated Christmas launch. This year’s celebration tied together the magic of the season through one striking symbol, the Grand Holiday Red Ribbon, representing love, warmth, and the joy of giving that define Christmas at SM.

Holiday magic comes alive at SM City Valenzuela as the mall ushers in The Swirl of Christmas Fun, marking the start of a vibrant and joy-filled Yuletide season.

A luminous start to the holidays—SM City Valenzuela and Valenzuela City officials unveil the mall’s stunning Holiday Centerpiece, illuminating the season with color, cheer, and community spirit.

Adorning the mall’s majestic 30-foot Christmas tree, the iconic red ribbon took center stage, capturing the heart of the season. Like the excitement of unwrapping a long-awaited gift, the ribbon symbolizes togetherness, the thrill of surprises, and the deep affection that fills homes during the holidays.

SM City Valenzuela officially launched its Swirl of Christmas Fun. Joining honors are Valenzuela Vice Mayor Marlon Alejandrino (middle), (L-R) SM City Valenzuela Assistant Manager Kristine Joyce Pimentel, Valenzuela City Councilors Lorie Natividad-Borja and Nina Shiela Lopez.
