Home Foodie's Madalicious Christmas: A Celebration of Flavor and Festive Fun

Get ready to jingle all the way because San Miguel Foods just kicked off the holiday season with a bang! Last October 29th, the San Miguel Foods Culinary Center in Pasig City transformed into a festive wonderland for the Home Foodie Madalicious Christmas Kickoff, an exclusive event for over 40 digital creators. It was an afternoon bursting with holiday cheer, culinary inspiration, and engaging activities that solidified Home Foodie as the go-to recipe hub for quick and delicious meals.

The event was a whirlwind of festive fun, with every corner of the Culinary Center decked out in holiday cheer.  The three-hour program was a celebration of San Miguel Foods' iconic brands, encouraging influencers to share their culinary adventures on social media.

Here's a taste of the festive highlights:

Games and Challenges: Guests put their knowledge to the test with interactive games like 4Pics & Words, showcasing their familiarity with San Miguel Foods products. The Home Foodie Passport activity had influencers posting on social media and encouraging their followers to download the new e-cookbook, amplifying Home Foodie's online presence.  These fun activities also offered the chance to win amazing prizes, including a smart digital oven, digital slow cooker, deep fryer, griddle pan, and Masflex cookware!

Flavors for the Holidays E-Cookbook Launch

The event unveiled the Flavors for the Holidays e-cookbook, a collection of 17 easy-to-make holiday recipes that will make your holiday cooking a breeze! From appetizers to main courses and desserts, all crafted with San Miguel Foods products, the cookbook is a culinary guide to delicious holiday meals.  Guests got to sample dishes from the cookbook, giving them a taste of the deliciousness that awaits.

Happy Ongpauco-Tiu, restaurateur

Cooking Demo with Happy Ongpauco-Tiu:  Renowned restaurateur Happy Ongpauco-Tiu brought a burst of excitement to the event with a live cooking demonstration. She shared tips on how to elevate holiday favorites like the Purefoods Fiesta Ham and whipped up a unique twist on a classic Filipino treat – Pandesal Ensaymada with Christmas Ham! This sweet, cheesy pandesal with a savory ham filling perfectly captured the holiday spirit and delighted the audience.

Home Foodie Madalicious Cookoff Influencer Edition Finale: The event celebrated the winners of the Home Foodie Madalicious Cookoff, an influencer cooking challenge held earlier in October.  Using a mystery San Miguel Foods ingredient, participants had one hour to create a dish, showcasing their culinary creativity with the help of equipment sponsored by Reyna Gas and Masflex Cookware.

The winners were:

Roanne Tadina, Grand Prize

Grand Prize: Roanne Tadina with Lime Oriental Wings (Magnolia Chicken Timplados Oriental Wings), taking home a 20-L microwave oven.

Charisse Espinosa, 1st place

1st Place: Charisse Espinosa with Beef Tapa Shepherd’s Pie (Purefoods Beef Tapa), awarded a 6-liter digital air fryer.

Karina Ramos, 2nd place
