Since I was a child, as soon as June approaches, I feel thrilled because it's my birth month. I don't eagerly anticipate gifts, but rather the greetings from family and friends. It brings me joy. I am easily pleased. It doesn't take much to make me happy. Whenever I am asked what I want for my birthday, my usual response is "nothing" or "I don't know; I can't think of anything I want or need." I am not materialistic. I am happy. I am healthy. I am blessed with family and true friends. Feeling ko nasa akin na ang lahat and I prefer inner peace. Fancy that! Haha. I find more joy in giving, whether to family, friends, or even strangers. To my sweetheart RAian,
You have taught me more about the meaning of life. You have challenged me in ways I thought would undo me but instead it has made me a better human being and I am eternally indebted to u for that. You fill my life with meaning and purpose and even on my worst days, when I feel helpless to help you through the pain and tears and the discomfort of trying to fit into this imperfect world, you still manage to love me. You will climb up into my lap, flash ur amazing grin(tititita-brown) and for a moment we are one again and i know that I AM ENOUGH. (Isang patak na luha.hehe)
I wish so many things for you baby, above all of course, health. Secondly, is continued happiness. The kind of happiness that comes from an unlimited supply of yellow cars, millions of (milk) boxes along your path, and enough batt for your gadgets to last you a lifetime. (The last-mentioned not anymore, kase binato mo yung natitira... sira na. Huhu)
I had so much wisdom to impart on you, Raian. So many life lessons to pass down and I couldn't wait to get started. But you, you had other plans.
The more I got to know you, the more I realized how little about life I actually knew, and in the end it is you who has taught me patience,unconditional love, forgivenes, joy and acceptance.
It is YOU who is filled with wisdom. The kind of wisdom that cannot be gathered from books. It is a wisdom of a boy who finds pleasure in the simple things, things that I may have otherwise overlooked had you not been around to show them to me these last 7 yrs.
