Since I was a child, as soon as June approaches, I feel thrilled because it's my birth month. I don't eagerly anticipate gifts, but rather the greetings from family and friends. It brings me joy. I am easily pleased. It doesn't take much to make me happy. Whenever I am asked what I want for my birthday, my usual response is "nothing" or "I don't know; I can't think of anything I want or need." I am not materialistic. I am happy. I am healthy. I am blessed with family and true friends. Feeling ko nasa akin na ang lahat and I prefer inner peace. Fancy that! Haha. I find more joy in giving, whether to family, friends, or even strangers. But this time, I said, "Lord, can I give myself a gift this time?" Since a retreat in Batulao is not possible yet, I scheduled a day for myself for a pampering session at the mall. JOB FAIR 2016 KICKS OFF THE DEVELOPMENT PLAN OF OZAMIZ CITY

The City government of Ozamiz thru the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), has launched a job fair for the whole of Ozamiz last August 26, 2016 held at the Cotta Fort.

Participated by a number of businesses and companies such as: Toyota Cagayan Ozamiz, CITI Hardware Ozamiz, Palawan Pawnshop Inc, Vicente T. Lao Construction, Robinsons Supermarket and San Miguel Corp to name a few, the job fair was geared to get local workers be engaged and lessen the migration of possible workforce to other locations thus creating a stronger and developing working place in the area.

Based on the number of participants and a report given after the fair, the LGU of Ozamiz is concerned with that percentage considered not part of the work force. At present, they will look into it and create programs that will make the people in the area workforce worthy. The City Government aims to build the place worthy of investors, with local manpower to back-up the needs of these businesses. This is the direction of Ozamiz.

This job fair is just the start of Ozamiz development as a work worthy place, not just of its people but also a place to do business.
