Since I was a child, as soon as June approaches, I feel thrilled because it's my birth month. I don't eagerly anticipate gifts, but rather the greetings from family and friends. It brings me joy. I am easily pleased. It doesn't take much to make me happy. Whenever I am asked what I want for my birthday, my usual response is "nothing" or "I don't know; I can't think of anything I want or need." I am not materialistic. I am happy. I am healthy. I am blessed with family and true friends. Feeling ko nasa akin na ang lahat and I prefer inner peace. Fancy that! Haha. I find more joy in giving, whether to family, friends, or even strangers. But this time, I said, "Lord, can I give myself a gift this time?" Since a retreat in Batulao is not possible yet, I scheduled a day for myself for a pampering session at the mall. 23rd Philippine Academic Book Fair

The only book fair in the country that gives sole focus to the education market, the Philippine Academic Book Fair – organized by the Academic Booksellers Association of the Philippines (ABAP) and co-organized by Primetrade Asia Inc.– will gather school officials, librarians, teachers, professionals, reviewers, tutors, and book enthusiasts on July 24 to 26 at the Megatrade Hall 1 of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City

Exhibitors include Academic Book Sales, Inc.; Alexan Commercial; Aquarian Books and Novelties; Ateneo de Manila University Press; Book Trends Enterprises; C & E Publishing, Inc.; Catholic Book Center; CD Books International, Inc.; Cengage Learning; Creative Mind Books Center; CRW Marketing Services for Publishers, Inc.; Curriculum Planning and Development; F & J de Jesus, Inc.; Fastbooks Educational Supply, Inc.; Felnor Citibank; Metrobank & Union Bank; and Forefront Book Co., Inc.

Tons of items are up for sale from this year’s exhibitors, including a mix of books, magazines, journals, and other learning materials. The fair will also feature other forms of media such as e-books and audiobooks .

Also joining the book fair are Golden Books Services, Inc.; IBC Book Consolidators, Inc.; Linar Educational Materials, Inc.; Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation; Megatexts Phil., Inc.; Mind Mover Publishing House, Inc.; Paulines; Phoenix Educational Systems, Inc.; Reader's Knowledge Bookstore; Rex Book Store, Inc.; University of the Philippines Press; and YFE Worldwide Logistics, Inc.


The 23rd Philippine Academic Book Fair will also host two seminars by the Philippine Association of Academic and Research Librarians.

On July 24, Janice PeƱaflor and Juan Martin Guasch will discuss “Building 21st Century Collections: Approaches and Practices” while “Financial Literacy for Librarians” will be the highlight on July 25.

    mahilig din po ako magbasa basa ng mga books particularly sa fiction books..kaso di na ko nakakaattend sa mga ganitong event para makapag hoard wala kasing titingin sa mga kids ko lalo sa bunso ko. šŸ˜Š

    Maganda po na ngkakaroon ng mga gnitong book fair upang mkilala ang ibat ibang schools,publishers,editors at mga companies..lalo na po sa mga book lovers..hehe aq hilig q lng magword search at mga comics..mga chikiting q nman po hilig mga coloring booksšŸ˜Š
