Since I was a child, as soon as June approaches, I feel thrilled because it's my birth month. I don't eagerly anticipate gifts, but rather the greetings from family and friends. It brings me joy. WOMENVOTE HEARS FROM THE MEN

After a successful jampacked November event listening to women candidates declaring their women-focused platforms, it is time to listen to the menfolk. Senators Kiko Pangilinan and Dick Gordon, Cong. Roman Romulo among others still confirming their presence will be at WOMENVOTE Part 2, on March 17 at 2 pm at the Dusit Hotel.

The Women’s Business Council of the Philippines (WOMENBIZPh) is behind this voter education series which was conceived to check who of the candidates were aware about Gender Diversity, Women Empowerment issues and the like.

“We enjoin the government Gender and Development(GAD) people to listen” says Boots Garcia, Chair of the powerful women organization. But not just for GAD people, the forum seeks to inform the general public about how women issues are addressed by senators and congressmen.

“We in the private sector need to know who of our candidates will support our advocacies some of which need to be legislated already,” says Chit Juan, President of WomenbizPH and serial entrepreneur heading the ECHOstore and the International Women’s Coffee Alliance-PH chapter.

The forum will have popular broadcaster Ces OrenaDrilon as moderator as Ces also volunteered to do this as her voter education advocacy.

For more information you can log on to www.womenbiz.ph or come to Dusit Hotel on March 17 at 2 PM, Pavilion meeting room.
