Chief Sustainability Officer and Chief Commercial Officer Benjamin B. Azada leads the opening of the company’s zero waste campaign.

Converge ICT Solutions Inc., a leading fiber broadband provider in the Philippines, has reiterated its dedication to responsible business practices by submitting its 2023 Communication on Progress (CoP) to the United Nations (UN) Global Compact. This report details the company's advancements in human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, aligning with the UN Global Compact's Ten Principles.

"Reporting on our sustainability achievements is crucial for transparency and accountability, as expected of UN Global Compact signatories," stated Benjamin B. Azada, Converge's Chief Sustainability Officer. "We are proud to share our progress in fulfilling the UNGC's Ten Principles in 2023, reflecting our commitment to safeguarding our people and the planet."

The UN Global Compact encourages companies to align their operations with ten universal principles related to human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. These principles aim to advance societal goals and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Converge signed up as the official livestream partner of Pride PH, the organization behind the biggest Pride Festival in Southeast Asia, held recently at the Quezon City Memorial Circle. This falls in line with the company’s policy towards Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Converge's 2023 CoP highlights key achievements:

Human Rights: The company prioritizes customer privacy and data security, as outlined in its Human Rights Policy.

Labor: Converge promotes workforce welfare by offering various benefits, engagement programs, and talent development initiatives to foster leadership within its ranks.

Environment: Converge continues to prioritize renewable energy efforts, conducting electrical audits and implementing rectifications to meet the requirements for ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems certification. The company also sources renewable energy from geothermal, solar, wind, and hydroelectric sources for its Reliance IT Center and Clark sites.

Anti-Corruption: Converge employs various measures to effectively manage corruption risks, including business integrity policies, transparency promotion, and technology utilization. The company's revised Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption Policy incorporates standards from the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention, the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and Philippine anti-corruption laws.

Converge's 2023 Communication on Progress is available here, alongside the company's Sustainability Report 2023. By adhering to the UN Global Compact's principles, Converge joins over 17,000 companies in over 160 countries committed to demonstrating progress in these areas.
