Your Wellness Reset Awaits at Solaire Resort North

PACE ensures injury-prevention and helps build long-term resilience with the help and guidance of their expert personal trainers ready to assist.

These days, staying healthy isn’t just a personal goal—it’s a collective shift in how we live. People are moving with more purpose, resting with more intention, and seeking spaces that support not only strength and stamina, but also clarity, calm, and connection.

Solaire Resort North brings that vision to life through an integrated, design-forward approach to total wellness—one that’s rare in the city, and even rarer in its depth.

Solaire Resort North’s state-of-the-art gym with premium and high-quality equipment ready for the next training session.

At the heart of this experience is the two-level Health Club, a complete ecosystem for movement and recovery. It features a gym with state-of-the-art equipment, a Functional Training Zone for mobility and real-world strength, and PACE, a performance and prehabilitation facility offering personalized programs to prevent injury and build long-term resilience. A personal trainer is on standby should guests need guidance or training on their fitness regimen.

Wellness extends beyond physical training. The thermal suite offers a curated sequence of recovery rituals - from experiential showers and saunas. There’s even a tepidarium, a warm, gently heated area inspired by ancient Roman bathhouses. With temperatures typically set between 35–40°C, it creates a mild and consistent warmth that encourages relaxation without overwhelming the body. Unlike saunas or steam rooms, the tepidarium is designed for lingering. The gentle heat soothes the nervous system, promotes circulation, and prepares the body for deeper treatments, making it an ideal mid-point between hot and cold therapies. Guests can also enjoy the therapy pools which stimulate circulation and ease the body back into balance, creating a rhythm of restoration that lingers long after the session ends.

The Spa offers ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation with individual and couple rooms, offering a variety of the best massage therapy techniques for guests to indulge in.

Guests may enjoy The Salon, where a range of services are ready from manicures and pedicures to hair treatments.

Next door, the Spa & Salon brings a sense of indulgence to the journey. Every treatment begins with a grounding ritual and unfolds in a tranquil, sensory-rich setting—ideal for those seeking stillness, renewal, or simply a pause from the pace of daily life. Couples looking to disconnect from the outside world can retreat to private spa suites, where side-by-side treatments invite shared stillness. Between sessions, guests are invited to unwind in transition rooms, where calming teas and light refreshments allow the body to rest and the experience to linger. It’s not just about the massage—it’s the moments in between that make it memorable.

Solaire Resort North’s L-shaped pool offers water-based fun for guests who want to swim laps or even wade around for some light relaxation.

At the center is a striking 50-meter lap pool, which allows you to do early morning laps or a chance to cool off in the afternoon. Kids can enjoy the nearby Waterpark which has interactive features like splash buckets, slides, and water cannons.

The Kids Club on Level 6 brings a haven of energetic fun for children and their companions to make use of for 2-hour-long playtimes.

Completing this dynamic outdoor level is the Kids Club, a five-story indoor playground that gives younger guests a world of their own. Inside, children can explore bowling lanes, themed party rooms, snack stations, and immersive play zones.

Solaire Resort North isn’t just a place to work out or wind down—it’s a place where total well-being is built into every moment. From training to recovery, from stillness to play, it offers a one-of-a-kind wellness experience in the heart of the city—designed for those who want to live fully, intentionally, and well.

Subic Riviera Hotels and Residences aims to make mark in hospitality industry in Olongapo

Subic Riviera Hotel and Residences, being a newly opened establishment, wants to make sure it has a reliable and quality digital infrastructure in place, hence, secured a Converge subscription in 2023.

The Subic Freeport Zone has long been a center of hospitality in Olongapo City - its landscape is dotted with numerous hotels and accommodations each offering their own flavor of Philippine conviviality and warmth. This competitive space is where Subic Riviera Hotel and Residences decided to enter and with much enthusiasm, presented their brand of exceptional service supported with fiber connectivity that’s second to none.

The Subic Riviera Hotel and Residences was established by Mr. Myung Kook Kang in the middle of the global pandemic and opened its doors just in November 2023. As a new business, management had its own share of hesitation and nervousness, especially catering to a post-pandemic market.

“We opened in November 2023, and at first, there were not too many customers because they don’t know the place,” said Mr. Kang.

“Medyo ninenerbyos after the grand opening kasi inisip namin noon na baka walang pumasok na guest,” affirmed Ivy Grace A. Garcia, General Manager of the hotel.

Patrons and guests can avail of a connection as fast as 300 Mbps for their personal use.

Fortunately, the stellar amenities and offerings of the hotel - which includes a sky lounge, the Essa cafe, a restaurant, 150 rooms, function rooms, and two private villas with a private pool - word about the hotel quickly spread around town.

Now, said Mr. Kang, the hotel is almost always fully booked and attracts foreign travelers as well as local ones.

Touted as a ‘family-friendly’ hotel, the hotel’s two villas are always in-demand by families wanting to celebrate special occasions with their own private pool and extensive rooms, noted Garcia.

Supporting the word-of-mouth campaign in the promotion of the hotel is of course the hotel’s social media, powered by the fiber connection of Converge.

“Malaking bagay si Converge because it’s through the internet that we update and promote our Facebook page. Without it, wala kaming communication with our clients,” Garcia added.

Subic Riviera Hotel and Residences is located in Olongapo, in the central hub of development in the city, the Subic Freeport Zone.

Subic Riviera Hotel and Residences continues to reach out to vacationers and travelers through its social media, all while offering 300 mbps speeds to its patrons which can be accessed anywhere in the hotel.

This fast and high-speed connectivity will all the more enable the hotel to grow its business as it takes its place as a mainstay in the hospitality scene in Pampanga.

“Right now, wifi is crucial for our communications and we’re happy to have wifi that we can depend on for our operations,” added Mr. Kang.

Mr. Kang is confident that Subic Riviera Hotel and Residences will become a permanent feature of the hospitality landscape in five year’s time, at which time he will put up another branch of the hotel.

“After five years, I plan to have another hotel branch in Subic,” notes Mr. Kang.

JPark Island Resort and Waterpark enhances guest experience with a digital upgrade

JPark is the biggest resort in the island of Mactan and the only 5-star water park in the country.

JPark Island Resort and Waterpark, Cebu's premier leisure resort where fun and luxury collide, is upgrading its room entertainment system to improve guest convenience and experience by installing FiberTV, a high-tech digital box powered by Converge. In the future, these digiboxes may be used not only for streaming but also as a one-stop shop for customer service.

Brian Connelly, General Manager and Vice President for Operations at JPark Island Resort and Waterpark, said the sprawling water park is already looking at the future of the hospitality sector, with the recent installation of FiberTV in its guest rooms.

Brian Connelly, General Manager and Vice President of Operations for JPark highlighted this technology advancement in a recent interview.

“We’ve now recently made a shift from the traditional model of in-room tv to a digibox called FiberTV so that the regular tv in every room is now a smart tv. They can see Netflix, Youtube and all their different accounts online. It’s important for us to provide consistent entertainment for our guests because that’s what the customers expect,” the company official said.

“This digital-based entertainment system may, in the future, be installed with a facility for service reservations, online shopping, and food orders, thus offering more convenience for customers,” Connelly added.

Consistency is king, Connelly emphasized, hence Converge has been tapped as the 17-hectare resort’s primary broadband provider. Wifi coverage is provided anywhere in the property, giving its customers a seamless experience of connectivity as they tour the expansive property.

“As you walk around, you've got continuous connectivity. This increases our ability to help our customers with shopping, travel, and sight-seeing. All the important things to a guest who’s visiting the island for leisure - like when can I go parasailing, when can I see the whale sharks in Oslob, how do I get to see the top of the mountains? The fact that we can offer them connectivity throughout the resort helps,” he said.

Like many businesses in the country, the global health crisis in 2020 upended business operations of JPark. However, it was the company’s pivot to digitalization that allowed it to weather the crisis and shifted its business model to cater to more domestic customers.

“Since there were a lot of restrictions in flying, and the only way to get to our island was through air, we had to adjust. We slowly started to increase our ability to reach out to new customers through our online platforms, like here in Cebu. We were able to take in guests who wanted a staycation because they were tired of their homes and not being able to go out. There was a time that 70% - 80% of our business were domestic,” said Connelly.

Even when super typhoon Odette hit and power lines were down for most of the island, they stayed open because they had a generator and their restaurants were kept open.

“We reached out from these different channels like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to say we’re open,we have wifi, we have power, we have water, we have AC, and we have a wonderful resort for you to enjoy right here on the island. Because at that time you couldn’t fly out from the island,” he added.

The resort’s digital readiness will become an even bigger part of the resort’s customer service, said Connelly.

Following the pandemic and Odette, operations have normalized and JPark now caters to a mix of international and local guests. For foreign tourists, the majority of the park’s guests come from Korea, thus the demand for a quality and consistent connection is all the more pressing.

“They’re communicating for leisure or for business and they need to have stability. Converge has done that for us. They’re providing us with stability in terms of our bandwidth on a regular basis,” Connelly affirmed.

For the executive, a strong, quality connection is what completes the experience in the resort that offers seemingly endless amenities for guests. The resort boasts of 820 rooms, a ballroom that can fit over a thousand people, nine restaurants , three water parks and two beaches. Jet skiing, banana boat riding, and parasailing are just a few of the water activities families may enjoy on the sprawling leisure property.

As the resort slowly regains its footing in the hospitality and leisure industry following the pandemic, it can only benefit from more digital initiatives to diversify its customer offerings.

“We also see the future where guests will no longer have to stop at the front desk. They can go straight to their room; the lock will be programmed in their phone, they can pick their room from their phone. We ‘re joining the future of hospitality, and we want to offer these in the near long term. That’s why we think Converge is the right partner for us,” Connelly concluded.

JPark Island Resort and Waterpark is now fully owned by Cebu’s “Mango King”, Justin Uy, the Chairman of Profood International Corp which is known for exporting Philippine dried mangoes.
