Home Credit: Powering Filipino Dreams with 5,000 Smartphones Daily

Home Credit Philippines (HCPH) is not just a consumer finance company; it's a catalyst for change, empowering over 12 million Filipinos to access essential products and services. From smartphones to appliances, mobility solutions to insurance, HCPH is transforming lives across the nation.

At the recent "Future Focus: Building Tomorrow Together" event, HCPH revealed staggering growth, financing 2.5 million smartphones since the start of 2024 – an average of 5,000 devices every single day by August 2025. This impressive figure underscores HCPH's commitment to bridging the digital divide and enabling Filipinos to participate in the modern economy.

From Humble Beginnings to a National Powerhouse

What began in 2013 with a single retail booth and 33 customers has blossomed into the country's leading consumer finance provider. HCPH now serves millions through 18,000 partner stores and a dedicated force of 10,000 sales associates.

"Our journey is rooted in empowering Filipinos," stated Puneet Suneja, Chief Sales Officer of HCPH. "Each milestone, from our first 33 customers to the 12 million we serve today, reflects our dedication to making modern living accessible through smartphones, home appliances, and mobility solutions."

Premium Tech Within Reach

Home Credit is democratizing access to premium technology. iPhones remain a popular choice, with financing for these devices reaching ₱10 billion in 2024 and projected to double to ₱20 billion by the end of 2025. This demonstrates the increasing desire of Filipinos to own the latest technology, and HCPH is making it possible.

Enhancing Homes and Mobility

HCPH is also transforming Filipino households. Refrigerators, televisions, and air conditioners are consistently among the top financed items. During peak seasons, HCPH finances an average of 700 refrigerators, 1,400 televisions, and 1,100 air conditioners daily, reflecting the growing demand for enhanced comfort and convenience.

Moreover, HCPH is addressing the increasing need for accessible mobility. The Philippines ranks as the fifth largest motorcycle market globally. HCPH provides flexible financing options for motorcycles and e-bikes, empowering Filipinos with affordable and convenient transportation. Since the start of 2024, HCPH has financed nearly 70,000 motorcycles and e-bikes, totaling ₱4.5 billion.

Comprehensive Protection for Peace of Mind

HCPH goes beyond financing by offering Home Credit Protect, a comprehensive program providing customers with peace of mind. For as low as ₱3 a day, customers can access Borrower Protection (covering accidents, life, and illness) or Device Protection (safeguarding against damage and offering extended warranties).

"For the price of a pandesal, customers can protect their purchases and secure coverage for themselves and their families," Suneja explained. "Home Credit Protect provides confidence and security."

As of August 2025, HCPH has approved over ₱1.75 billion in claims, with nearly 70,000 devices repaired or replaced, demonstrating strong customer trust in the program.

Driving Economic and Digital Growth

HCPH's achievements underscore the crucial role of consumer finance in driving economic and digital growth in the Philippines. By facilitating access to smartphones, appliances, and mobility solutions, HCPH empowers Filipinos, fuels productivity, and strengthens the country's position in the Southeast Asian market.

"Home Credit is contributing to economic activity," said Sheila Paul, Chief Marketing Officer of HCPH. "We are on track to exceed last year's performance and will continue supporting Filipinos seeking access to technology, comfort, and convenience."
