Your Song of Excellence Season 3's Jam-packed Finals Night Welcomes Newest Grand Champions

Your Song of Excellence culminates its 3rd season with a group photo of the Grand Finalists with the Celebrity Judges and host, and the VIPs from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines, Taiwan External Trade Development Council, and Taiwan Trade Center Manila who made the event possible.

Your Song of Excellence 2023, Taiwan Excellence's search for the best singers and songwriters in the Philippines co-presented by Aromase, Derma Angel, and Johnson Fitness & Wellness, concluded its third-year run this Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Ayala Malls Market! Market! Taguig City.

The Live Grand Finals Event witnessed a celebration of outstanding Filipino talent, with the Top 3 Grand Finalists from both the Singer and Songwriter Categories fighting it out until the bitter end. The Finale began with an energizing performance of the Your Song of Excellence 2023 jingle by Celebrity Judges Yeng Constantino, Arthur Nery, Ice Seguerra, and Paulo Zarate before battling it out on the big stage.

This Grand Finals performance round for the Singer Category was nothing short of incredible, with three powerhouse performers who have been shaped by their respective singing journeys, each of which led to the Grand Finals stage. In the end, Julius Cawaling triumphed with two equally thrilling performances, defeating first runner Louise Alivio and second runner-up Alyssa Erasquin to the victory, and what a race it was.

The battle for Grand Champion in the Songwriter Category was another close race. It was time for the Final Three Songwriters to perform their fully realized Grand Finals songs in front of a large audience. These talented composers fought their way through their creative storytelling and melodies with their partner singers, with every lyric tugging at the audience's heartstrings. Lyndon Nagar takes first place in the Songwriters category, beating out Juls Burce and Popa Elorde.

Helping to present the awards to the winning contestants were VIPs, Mr. Dustin Yang, Minister of Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines, Mr. Alex Lai, Director of Taiwan Trade Center Manila, Ms. Christine Kuo, Manager of Taiwan Trade Center Manila, Ms. Janine Tan, Senior Project Manager of Taiwan Trade Center Manila, Ms. Yvonne Hsiao, Project Manager of Taiwan External Trade Development Council, and Ms. Valerie Lin, Project Manager of Taiwan External Trade Development Council, making the event even more special with their esteemed presence.

The Grand Champions received a P50,000 cash prize and P50,000 worth of products each. The 1st Runners Up won P30,000 cash prize each while the 2nd Runners Up won P20,000 cash each, as well as P50,000 worth of products each runner up.

Vivo gives hoop fans chance to play ball at Hoop Battle Championship Philippines

Filipino basketball fans nationwide now have another tournament to keep monitor. The Vivo Hoop Battle Championship Philippines has officially started its knockout rounds. 

It was an action-packed first round of eliminations of the Vivo Hoop Battle Championship Philippines. 

On July 1, the 3x3 basketball tourney had its first game in Glorietta where 12 teams played against each other. These were Team Ballers, Metro Star Realty, Pio Makati, Arellano University 1, Mamba Army MNL, Team Downtown, New Born: St. Claire College, Bigshot Burger, Glorietta, Zion, Turbo, and Team 3WC. Team Ballers and Metro Star Realty eventually came out as victors. 

A trip to China and cash prizes await to those who will be hailed as the champs of the first-ever Vivo Hoop Battle Championship Philippines. 

The second game was held on July 8 in TriNoma. The teams that played were F4, Alphas, D’Engineers, California Supreme, Fuego Heneral, Bulacan Hoopers, Spartans, Radiant Hoops, Ballerz, Team Mommy Kate, BS Susim Shipping, and Team 3WA. But the rest were outplayed by F4 and the BS Susim Shipping teams. 

In these rounds, Vivo gave the passionate spectators to have a chance of what it feels like to be playing the 3x3 Hoop Battle court to the delight of the basketball fans. 

The young global smartphone brand picked three players from the audience to show off their layup, free throw, and 3-point shooting skills. The fastest player to perfectly complete these shots received premium prize from Vivo. 

Vivo generously keep basketball fans on their toes by letting them play on the 3x3 court. 

Another 12 teams will then face off on July 15 in South Park for the third leg of the tournament. The last elimination rounds will be on July 22 in Fairview Terraces. All the top two teams per elimination round will advance to the finals to be held on July 29 in Market! Market! 

The best two teams will be sent to Guangzhou, China in August 2018 and play against other groups in Asia to claim the Hoop Battle Champion title. Aside from a trip to China for a chance to play at an international basketball game, the two winning teams will get Php200,000 or Php100,000. 

The Hoop Battle Championship is an annual 3x3 basketball tournament held in some districts in China and other Asian countries.
