Converge CEO to Lead 51st Philippine Business Conference

Dennis Anthony H. Uy, co-founder and CEO of Converge ICT Solutions Inc., will chair the 51st Philippine Business Conference in October.  Recognized as a prime mover in the country's rapidly evolving technology industry, Uy will bring his expertise to the forefront of discussions on digital connectivity and transformation.

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) announced Uy's appointment, highlighting his commitment to bridging the digital divide.  "We are honored he (Dennis Uy) accepted our invitation to lead the conference this year," said PCCI President Enunina V. Mangio.  "He will be ably guided and supported by the Conference Organizing Committee in implementing his plans and agenda for the conference."

Uy, who is also the Director for PCCI IT and Telco, emphasized his vision for the conference: "I have always believed that access to quality connectivity is not a privilege of a few, but a necessity for all. We must take discussions on digital transformation seriously because, by 2030, the entire world will be digitally connected. The Philippines needs to leap-frog and embrace technological advancements that will ultimately uplift the lives of many."

He underscored the importance of focusing on the foundation of digital transformation: "But before we get there, we need to address the foundation, which is connectivity for all, no matter where they are or their demographic. We must make sure we leave no one behind.”

The conference, a premier annual event, brings together top government officials, business leaders and executives, industry experts and MSMEs. The event features policy dialogues, interactive discussions and networking opportunities.
