Converge ICT Solutions Inc., the Philippines' fastest-growing fiber broadband provider, is ready to put travelers in a festive mood by lighting up an impressive 30-foot Christmas tree decked out in vibrant teal and purple colors in the airport's largest passenger hub - just one of many gifts it is giving passengers this holiday season.
This year, the broadband provider not only provided free wifi at NAIA Terminal 3, but also installed a towering Christmas tree, infusing the atmosphere at the passenger terminal with cheer and spirit.
“We want passengers to feel the Christmas spirit even in transit points such as the airport and having these luminous decor and ornaments, aside from the strong fiber connection we provided, go a long way in uplifting the travelers’ experience,” said Converge VP and Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations Jay-Anne Encarnado.
The 30-ft Converge Christmas tree is a sight to behold in Departure 7 of NAIA Terminal 3. The structure is ornamented by Christmas balls and stars, in the brand colors of Converge, teal and purple. |
The Christmas tree, located in Departure Area 7, was illuminated as part of the powering-up ceremony of the Converge free public Wifi held November 14. Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy, Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, Manila International Airport Authority Bryan Co, and Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano did the honor of setting alight the splendid display.
The captivating spectacle of colors and light was made even more grand with the accompaniment of Filipino Christmas carols, lively sung by the Bulacan-based Legion of Mary choir. The 19-member chorale regaled the guests and passengers alike with holiday favorites such as ’Halina,Halina’, ‘Kumukutikutitap’ at ‘Pasko sa Pinas’.
The ceremonial powering up of the fiber connection was done in tandem with the lighting up of the Christmas tree, which lent an air of cheer and merriment in Departure area 7. |
“Whatever their destination may be, I hope Filipino and foreign travelers may imbibe the holiday spirit with this festive atmosphere, especially as NAIA prepares for the rush of holiday travel this December,” added Encarnado.
