Sunrise Trail Hike at Masungi Georeserve: An Empowering and Meaningful Birthday Celebration

Image
Since I was a child, as soon as June approaches, I feel thrilled because it's my birth month. I don't eagerly anticipate gifts, but rather the greetings from family and friends. It brings me joy. I am easily pleased. It doesn't take much to make me happy. Whenever I am asked what I want for my birthday, my usual response is "nothing" or "I don't know; I can't think of anything I want or need." I am not materialistic. I am happy. I am healthy. I am blessed with family and true friends. Feeling ko nasa akin na ang lahat and I prefer inner peace. Fancy that! Haha. I find more joy in giving, whether to family, friends, or even strangers. But this time, I said, "Lord, can I give myself a gift this time?" Since a retreat in Batulao is not possible yet, I scheduled a day for myself for a pampering session at the mall. I want to have a massage, facial, manicure/pedicure. I simply wish to unwind and disconnect from the online world for an entire...

Mommy Bloggers Philippines Mad Hatter Party #MBPHalloween2016

Halloween is the time to dress up as your favorite character and go trick-or-treating.

Last October 15 , unica Y and I attended this year's Mommy Bloggers Philippines (MBP)  Mad Hatter  Halloween party . Our first time to be part of this much talked about event of MBP.

Kids in costumes went to Mind Museum to join in the fun. It was not the usual halloween party we all know. Though the party area was decorated, it is not as spooky as it should be. It's still child-friendly.

Community Managers Mommies Louisa and Lanie; Mommy Joy was busy attending to guests and sponsors  :-)

The program was spearheaded by the COmmunity managers of MBP: Mommies Joy Gurtiza, Lanie Llutch and Louisa Mercado. It was a fun -filled day for us mommies and our kids. There were games, raffles , costume parade  from vampy to cutie :) and of course the bonggang Trick or treat.

Unica Y came in as James P. Sullivan of Monsters Inc. This was one of the first cartoon movies she grew up watching. Sulley is easily her monster fave. Ysa was really excited to go and wear her costume and was definitely sure that she'll be having a "spook"-tacular time. And she did!

Mommy Bloggers Philippines Mad Hatter Party was made possible by generous sponsors and a team of mommies who love this blogging community.

Thank you to The Mind Museum  which  not only provided us with a venue but also made sure we had a great time by providing all day passes and tickets to their Science Circus exhibit.

Our generous sponsors:  Mekeni Picnic Hotdog, R Verdice Photography, Okasyon Filipinas (Baloon decor) , Peekabooth, Nido 3+ , Selecta Milk, Selecta Moo, Sunkist Juice, Aqua Best, Stuffink for the MBP Keychain, LemonSquare Whattatops, Tupperware, Sweet Art, Glass of Sweets: Desserts and Treats, Recipe Co, Work of Love Sweet Treats, Jack n Jill Calbee Chips, Sugar Blends,  Richprime: Hot Wheels, Monster High, Thomas and Friends, for their support, giving us giveaways, prizes, and raffle items.

The unica still can't get enough of the party  :-)

Definitely a must-attend Halloween party next year and the years to come!!!

Thank you Mommy Bloggers Philippines for a superb experience me and my daughter will never forget.
